From birth until it is time to part from a loved one, the life of a Jewish person is marked by ceremonies of joy and sorrow; times of excitement and elation alongside times of sorrow and mourning.

For thousands of years, the tradition of Israel has created a treasure of customs and rituals that help us to express our joy or sorrow during these special moments of  life, together with our family and community.

The community of Emet V'Shalom and our Rabbi, Ariela Gretz Bartov, offer the residents of Nahariya and the surrounding area the opportunity to mark events of the life cycle in a way that combines tradition and renewal and gives meaning and content to the traditional ceremony. We will be happy to assist you in holding the following ceremonies: baby-naming; circumcision and "pidyon haben"; Bat and Bar Mitzvah; Engagement and Marriage.  And we will be there to stand by your side at the time of mourning and parting from a loved one.
